Mason Jars (for shabby chic party)

 They're nice and cute specially when you're having a shabby chic theme party. As usual I'm DIYing (is that even a word?) a shabby chic party for a special girl on March so I'm on the look out for these cuties :)

 I'll use them as our guest table centerpiece. Look at this one, isn't it pretty?

BUT..mason jars is a little expensive for a thrifty like me, last time I checked it's a little bit over 100.00 so I'm racking my brain for alternatives :) Empty jars, empty bottles, recycle,recycle. I'll post whatever I come up to.

DIY party hats

I'm making these cute birthday hats for a special girl who is turning three on Sunday. Her color motif is pink and yellow.

I made a cone pattern then asked my husband to draw it in yellow cartolina

I the cut them and glued at both ends with a little overlapping so it will be sturdier

For the embellishments, I used pink Japanese papers (you cam also use crepe papers)
Fold and cut them on ends and glue them on to the hat.

 I also printed some pictures from the internet and glued them in front of the hats.

This event venue is located along EDSA corner Macapagal Avenue (very near MOA) and is very accessible. We recently had our Christmas party there. It is very big because we were more or less 300 I think and it doesn't look/feel crowded. And it has ample parking space too.

DIY-Wedding Cord

When I was preparing for my wedding, I dream of doing my own wedding cord, I wanted a fresh sampaguita flower bulbs type of cord to go with my Filipiniana theme but it did not happen due to lot of reasons (or excuses).

So when a friend got married two years ago, I encouraged her to DIY her cord since she has plenty of time in her hands. We came up with this or rather she came up with this orange and green wedding cord. All you need are some strings and beads and a little creativity here and there :) Go make your own wedding cord na!!

It is cheaper and it is personalized and special because it was labor of love by the bride :)
