Venue : Le Parc Event Hall

This event venue is located along EDSA corner Macapagal Avenue (very near MOA) and is very accessible. We recently had our Christmas party there. It is very big because we were more or less 300 I think and it doesn't look/feel crowded. And it has ample parking space too.

Rent is Php68,000 pesos for 5 hours. Their phone number is 898 8965

DIY-Wedding Cord

When I was preparing for my wedding, I dream of doing my own wedding cord, I wanted a fresh sampaguita flower bulbs type of cord to go with my Filipiniana theme but it did not happen due to lot of reasons (or excuses).

So when a friend got married two years ago, I encouraged her to DIY her cord since she has plenty of time in her hands. We came up with this or rather she came up with this orange and green wedding cord. All you need are some strings and beads and a little creativity here and there :) Go make your own wedding cord na!!

It is cheaper and it is personalized and special because it was labor of love by the bride :)

Venue: One Rockwell Function Room

My boss had his birthday party here last July and I helped in organizing the event so I had the chance of inspecting this super nice event venue.

The One Rockwell Function room is located on the ground floor of the One Rockwell Tower. Exclusive for One Rockwell residents only but I think you can get sponsored by someone you knew from there.

This 400 square meter area can  accommodate up to 100 guests. There is  an adjacent garden, accessible through a glass door that may  also be used for outdoor activities/ functions.

love the low ceiling and the lights!

Simple birthday backdrop

Do not want to splurge so much on a backdrop? Try this, it's very easy and will not cost you an arm and leg. I prinnted the birthday banner on a colored paper, also the birthday boy's name. I made some pompoms from blue japanese paper and here's the result!!  You can add balloons for extra birthday look but I think it's also nice even without it. What you think?

Free printable Welcome Banner

My friend recently gave birth to a very cute baby boy (their second son) and I made a welcome banner for him, I posted it in his hospital room with two blue flower pompoms. It was beautiful I think. Of course I love my own..hehe! It's very easy to do, I searched for free printable welcome banner online ( which is so plenty) downloaded and printed it and viola! What a nice way to welcome a new baby di ba?

Here's the link .

I prefer this one because it's easy to make plus you can change the letters and the font if you want.

Paper Decorations: Rosettes or medallions

These are really nice decorations and they come very cheap.

To create them:

I used ordinary colored paper which you can buy at any bookstore.

Most of them are 8 x 11 size (like bond papers).

You just fold them accordion type (horizontal) and then fold again in the middle (which gives you a paper fan,.

Make another three and then put them all together. For the center part, I just cut out another paper then hot glued it.

Tie a ribbon or nylon at your last piece and then hang it!

You can also just put it against the wall.

 Very pretty no?

Table Number & Centerpiece

We recently attended a wedding (with a blue and butterfly motiff) I like what the bride did (DIY) for the table number and at the same time accentuated the centerpiece. Sorry, I didn't have any decent picture but I hope you get the idea from this lone photo.

She made cut out butterflies in blue paper then stick it on a soft and long stick. then curl the end of it. Nice.  I like it :)
